This Japanese inspired design’s main concerns are addressing the wheelchair accessibility, storage, counter space, appliance, and ergonomic needs of both owners. In addition to supporting their cooking + baking needs, we will be redesigning the layout of the space to facilitate their love of entertaining their friends, family, and grand-kids. This will entail connecting the kitchen space with the adjacent living room and adding a casual eating space. They would like to incorporate some traditional Japanese design elements, and connect this space to the outdoors while incorporating the colors green and red.
